COVID-19

Progressive Preschool follows all rules written by the Child Care Licensing.

“The mission of CCL is to support working parents by protecting the health and safety of children in regulated child care programs. This is accomplished by: (1) establishing and enforcing health and safety rules for child care programs; (2) training and supporting providers in meeting the established health and safety rules; and (3) providing the public with accurate information about regulated child care”.

We also follow recommendations from the Utah Department of Health  and Weber-Morgan Health Department. We are doing extra cleaning and sanitizing in each class every day, and our staff all wear masks throughout the day.

In some instances, we are taking extra measures above and beyond the recommended measures if we deem it necessary.  Upon arrival each day, all children’s temperatures are taken and a check for symptoms is undertaken — fever, cough, runny nose, loss of sense of smell/taste, sore throat, diarrhea, and/or vomiting.

While COVID-19 is ongoing, we invite parents to enter our lobby to clock in and out their children, but only admit their children beyond the door, after we do a visual check for any symptoms as well as taking temperature.  Children birth through two do not have to wear masks, though we encourage parents to wear masks when dropping off or picking up your children.  Preschool children (3-5 years old) must wear masks throughout the day except while eating and sleeping.  School age children must wear masks while at Progressive Preschool and in the vans.  After admittance into our building, each person washes hands thoroughly before work and play.
